Great to grow your career but lots of burn out - Restaurant Leader Raising Cane's Employee Review

Pros

Tons of growth opportunities, especially if you can relocate. Amazing work culture for hourly employees, high standards for cleanliness and food safety, and lots of fun events. Good compensation and benefits. Probably a lot of fun if you're in a tenured and stable market.

Cons

Zero work-life balance, like literally zero. Expectations for salaried leaders at both the restaurant level and area level frequently require 70+ hour weeks and being available 24/7. Also, extreme amounts of micro-management (and it is encouraged from upper management). Great place to work to build your career but extremely draining long-term. PTO is good on paper, but its never actually time off. Even a SDVP made a comment acknowledging that multiple people were on "PTO" during a required meeting but they were still in attendence, as if that was a good thing. The culture from the top down is to overwork yourself.

Pros

The pay was pretty good as were the benefits Not stressful Customers aren't rude A fair amount of people have a really great time working there and feel very passionate about Raising Cane's

Cons

If you aren't super super outgoing, you probably won't have a good time there You'll get hired on the spot and be told the workplace is like "a family," so do with that what you will If you do work there and you're pursuing a career outside of Raising Cane's (i.e. going to college or receiving professional training), definitely keep it to yourself
