Pros

It is a great company If managed correctly. When I started, It held up To the canes One Love mantra.Employees wanted to come to work.Food is great.Discounts appreciated. Was a fun place to work and if stress was in the air our old manager would put a fun song on sing with the staff to boost moral, buy doughnuts or coffee, pizza for closer, canes closes at midnight you don't leave till 1am so with such a high demand job it was amazing.Safe and friendly under proper management.

Cons

Horrible management They never come out of the office, no training is given just a book and good luck. Dangerous place to work very heavy lifting is required,In a small environment .The Restaurants are not designed for safety. Many falls occur daily.parking lots are way to small. At canes you are required to run when doing anything they tell employees to work fast and with a purpose. It is not Your average food establishment when it comes to job requirement .Employees do everything lifting 60 lb. booths to clean floors, washing windows, spraying down parking lot, cutting lbs and lbs of lemons lifting large tubs to prep all foods and sauces It is a very high stress, hectic work environment for horrible pay.

Pros

-Fellow peers are often lovely to be around and helpful. -3 of 10 managers at my store are genuinely nice. -Flexible scheduling. -Our regular customers are very nice. -Pay is decent. -Easy work, even when busy. (Although it can be stressful from time to time.

Cons

-Only 50% off meals for crew. -Favoritism of crew members by management is abundant. -Bad hours, they keep shifts short if you aren't favorited. -They rely on the majority of their crew being teenagers and not knowing their rights. -Crew is often refused breaks when upper-management visits. (They will comp meals if you ask, but if you don't they will try to get away without it.) -Certain managers constantly berate and belittle crew members. -Because the company is growing more corporate and profit focused, it is becoming less focused on doing right by the crew and treating them well. -Everything has become more and more about penny-pushing and overzealous metrics. -The company likes to portray themselves as being crew-focused and wanting to support the little guy, but that is not how they actually conduct themselves in the treatment of their team.
