      Pros

      One of the most meaningful products you can work on. It's nice to work on something that has a positive impact and everyone really does love cash back. Great coworkers. Very smart and approachable people in senior leadership. HR, IT, facilities etc. really care and put a lot of effort into keeping people happy

      Cons

      San Mateo office location is not great. There's some negativity that comes from a lot of Rakuten initiatives. Rakuten seems to be benefiting from the Ebates culture, but Rakuten still needs improvement. Ebates has a lot of female employees and leaders, (including in the C-Suite), but other Rakuten companies in San Mateo are lacking.

      Pros

      Rakuten Rewards has great life balance. Too bad the economy was getting rocked.

      Cons

      Don't really have any cons. I understand that the market's been hard so had to downsize the force, so that was kinda challenging. Hopefully AI will increase everyone's output.

      Pros

      Good benefits and some managers were supportive and helpful.

      Cons

      Cuthroat environment. Most of the other managers micromanaged and put unrealistic deadlines while asking you to train other employees.
