Pros

-You get to work on products that really do change people's lives for the better. There are so many reminders of how Ramsey is benefitting people. It is really encouraging to be a part of that. - You work around the most passionate and enthusiastic people. I made many great friends. Also, these people truly care about you. If you are struggling, your team will pray for you. - There are many fun events and creative meetings held by the company. - Compensation is above average

Cons

- Be ready for a wild ride during the interview process. Not only is it super long, it's intrusive. Be prepared to talk about your religious life, your personal life, your financial life. If you use a credit card, that's major points against you. And they expect you to agree to a salary BEFORE offering you the job, which in hindsight I recognize as a pretty manipulative practice. - The 'hero worship' was really uncomfortable to me. As a Christian joining an outspokenly Christian company, I did not expect this. But I found it almost cult-like how the employees worship Dave and the other personalities. You are expected to know how many cars (and what models) he has. You have a great day if you pass him in the hallway. You are (at least once a week) asked about your "Dave Story". Your colleagues will gush about how great he is. -Oh my gosh. The micromanaging is through the roof!! Expect to be constantly watched over by your 'leader' (they don't use the word 'manager' or 'boss') - The company has a billion 'core values', which on the surface are all really great. In some meetings, you have to recite them from memory. But when seeing how the company actually operates, I found several of them to be hypocritical and dishonest, which was really disappointing. - While I do believe the Ramsey principles make a positive difference in many lives, several of them are fairly tone-deaf right now. The company as a whole seems quite resistant to change or adjustment, which makes me fear for the future of the place. - The superiority complex and RS arrogance really irked me. The first 6 months I worked there, HR and other colleagues were constantly reminding me of how lucky I was to be there, how I was a "chosen one". They seem to believe that God hand-picked certain people in this country to work at Ramsey, and they are far superior than the others. -No work from home flexibility at all, and pretty lackluster health benefits.

Pros

You can help struggling people with the work you do.

Cons

Ramsey is INCREDIBLY greedy. It is all about filling Dave's pockets with more money, there is only so many ways to make money off the program. Ramsey underpays and tries to get people to think of it like ministry work, but Ramsey is a corporation so there is zero need for charity.. Ramsey is actually very light on its Bible teaching so I recommend you find a local church or a solid parachurch organization so you can actually do ministry.
