Pros

- Good people to work with and opportunity to make friends - Modern engineering tech stack - Great for career growth, but only for a time Your experience will vary greatly depending on which team you're on.

Cons

- There is a deep cultural norm to not separate work life from home life. Leadership pushes everyone to be personal (with everyone) which translates to "tell me what's going on with your life outside of work." This can be a good thing if done within boundaries, but can quickly become toxic. There is a level of emotional intelligence needed for this and not all have it that work here. I experienced uncomfortable "personal" questions in 1-on-1 meetings from a leader. There is a part of your yearly review that will measure your "personal clout" amongst team members and other teams. Translation: if you work here and want to advance your career, you better be a social butterfly. - Very "cheerlead-y" environment. This is fun at first, but becomes grating/forced after a while, and its apparent. - Open-office environment. You are out in the open and there is no privacy. Depending on the area you sit, the environment can be loud making it hard to focus on your work. - "Everyone is out to get us" mentality. Every other Wednesday in a staff-wide meeting you will hear how "spiritual/personal attacks will be made against you because you work at Ramsey." This is not an exaggeration, you'll hear it bi-weekly. Why is there a need to announce this repeatedly to everyone? Brainwash-y. - Low pay relative to tech industry - In office five days a week

Pros

You can help struggling people with the work you do.

Cons

Ramsey is INCREDIBLY greedy. It is all about filling Dave's pockets with more money, there is only so many ways to make money off the program. Ramsey underpays and tries to get people to think of it like ministry work, but Ramsey is a corporation so there is zero need for charity.. Ramsey is actually very light on its Bible teaching so I recommend you find a local church or a solid parachurch organization so you can actually do ministry.
