Pros

Great starting Salary and HR/Recruiting Staff and amazing co workers who I learned a lot from.

Cons

Throughout my time there I saw people come and go so quickly, the company doesn’t care about their employees and sees almost anyone as expendable. As I mentioned, they lack leadership for people coming in. It’s strictly self teaching because of this, and if they don’t think you’ve made progress in anywhere from a couple weeks/ a few months they will let you go without warning or hesitation. Even when they don’t manage you enough to really see improvement. I began to notice this as soon as I was hired, and can now see why so many people come and go. The workload is overwhelming and many take on management roles without actually wanting to manage people below them. How can new hires grow with a lack of leadership and direction? I believe the culture was also an issue, considering the way I was spoken to many times by people in management roles. They claim to have a learning environment when it’s quite the opposite of what I was shown throughout my time there.

Pros

When I left my last job, I was looking for a company that offered advancement and had a great culture. Rand Group has delivered!!! I have been promoted multiple times since coming to Rand Group. I continue to learn new things about the product I work on, as well as business processes across multiple industries.

Cons

As a manager, the day's planned work can sometimes be interrupted with unplanned client or staff questions. Not really a con, but being a manager in client service might not be for everyone as you have to be able to juggle multiple things.

Pros

- Growth, Competitive Culture, Training Videos !!!!!!

Cons

- Extreme level of Micromanagement. Was working under a new manager in the BC practice and initially thought maybe its that individual just being controlling but no, Seniors, the other manager was exactly the same. Even when after a couple of months, I got the hang of Consulting and was doing alright based on their observations; it was still same. Talked with a few ex-employees working with other renowned partners then and now and their complaints aligned with mine as well. It was to an extent where I was being asked of "0.25' hour of time entries to Projects and that the entry did not make sense to them!!!! We truly don't know how bad it is/was until we move on to something new and better. The salary was very subpar as well for Consulting.
