Pros
I joined the Tech Academy in Bristol a couple of weeks ago and I'm thoroughly enjoying being at Randstad so far. Firstly the interview process was dealt with very promptly and I really enjoyed how friendly and personal it was. The team are lovely and the vibe around the office is fun and energetic, yet people work very hard. Really diverse group of people. So far I'm really enjoying the training side of things, coming from a job where I wasn't trained whatsoever on anything, it's reassuring that the training academy is there, and I feel like I'm being prepared well for a career in recruitment. It's split between classroom sessions and putting what we've learned into practice at our desks with helpful supervision. We're being trained by Josh, Lee, and Chris here, who are all fantastic! Very experienced recruiters and brilliant trainers, they always try and push us which I like a lot. They'll tell you what's not working and give you constructive criticism, but at the same time they will always praise you for the things you have done well. They also try and keep the sessions fun and exciting. The company are big on development, they recognise hard work, lots of room for progression if you work hard here.
Cons
The hours here are long, which has taken some getting used to for me, usually arriving for 7:30am and leaving around 6pm or later - however, if you're wanting to do well in recruitment like I am then this is expected, it's not necessarily a con as you will reap the benefits! If you're looking for an easy 9-5 role then you won't find it here.
