Pros
- Benefits and pay are generally higher than normal for equivalent positions to keep you at the company -most people are intelligent and know what they are doing in terms of their work -large company with a lot of varied work to do. Opportunity to promote within the company -high turnover; however, there is a large returning group of employees. I have not seen large groups of people wanting to return to a previous company before.
Cons
-the higher pay can put you in "golden handcuffs" if you want to move out -administrative and organization strength is minimal. RMD can hit a bullet with another bullet in space but they can't get you a seat, keep teams in the same area, or maintain standardization within or between projects. -you can definitely feel like a number. The administration can forget about you and place you on "waiting assignment" anywhere between days or months. -you can easily promote but quality of life with higher positions drastically declines. Good for early or late career. Middle management gets slammed and tends to work very long hours under high stress. -high turnover, but that seems to be standard in the industry at large
