Pros
Red Hat is constantly growing their products and integrating features enterprises care about. It is easy to be close to relevant technologies, get exposure in the industry, grow through training and collaborate with other business units. I can probably write a book on the different opportunities for personal and skill growth.
Cons
Promotions and recognition depend heavily on your people manager. Performance bias exists and some peers and those in management are quick to assume your skill level and expertise. Hard to find true mentors and there are not many advocates for newer consultants that go above and beyond with extraordinary performance. Finally, major lack of diversity in the consulting organization.
