Pros

Fast money. Laid-back environment. Cool coworkers. Discounted food and perks. Lots of training. Basketball Court, Gym, and bowling alley. Benefits are ok. No degree or experience needed.

Cons

Lack of diversity in corporate and senior leadership. This is important because these are the decision makers. The sales side is somewhat diverse, but it has far less job security. Go to the website and look at the leadership. Judge for yourself. You can't champion diversity if those in power aren't fully reflective of the workforce. My new job has an organization within the company that is ran by the employees that create initiatives that increase diversity at all levels of leadership. Until this happens, there is most certainly a glass ceiling. Makes no difference if it is intended or unintended. One is still present. Secondly, comp plan changes monthly. So you will see where they clearly giving you a pay cut. This makes it difficult for you to budget. Depends on your level of responsibility though. Thirdly, sales tactics can be unethical. There are times where we were wholeheartedly told to lie and mislead individuals to believe they are saving money when their bills increased. You are increasing bills for people that can't afford them. For example, a person could be on a fixed income now they have a bill they can not afford to pay. In addition to high early cancelation fees that can't be paid either. Savvy sales tactics mixed with blatant lies now put the individual in a financial bine that will also effect their credit score if they are forced to cancel without actually covering the bill. Imagine if this was your grandmother or disable relative would you still sale the product to them? Asking for permission to eat and use the restroom.
