Cons

Understaffed Hard to get corporate management to approve funds for seemingly necessary improvements A lot of good employees are dissatisfied or have left the company Slightly underpaid relative to the local aerospace industry

Pros

During my 4+ years at Redwire, I had the privilege of working on a wide range of unique and exciting projects. I also had the opportunity to move laterally within the company and contribute at multiple locations. Work life balance was also pretty good depending on if you had a manager that would allow you to take full advantage of the unlimited PTO policy.

Cons

Compensation and vertical movement is pretty bad. I was significantly underpaid despite multiple highly successful performance reviews and was ultimately let go despite receiving multiple promotions during my time at Redwire. I was not alone. Upper management does not care about employee retention and often times new hires will make more than veterans at the company. HR was particularly bad and did not support the employees and instead catered to diversity hires in my experience. After about the SVP level, the upper management is only looking at numbers and will not hesitate to cut you and your friends if there is a slight downturn in work.
