Pros

Overall: - A great way to meet other young people and make friends - Free movies - Unlimited free soda, popcorn and if there's leftover at the end of the night, you can have those too (depends on the manager on duty) - A variety of jons for floor staff so it's not monotonous - Easy to get hours - Get a variety of experience, from cleaning to cashiering, to fixing various pieces of theater equitment Pros by job: Ushering: - Freedom of the theater. So long as you clean all the theaters on time and keep the loby resonably clean, no one cares what you do when you're in between theaters - Minimum interaction with customers- you just have to clean up after them - No dealing with money or worrying about stock - Especially relaxing on weekdays - Sometimes they will let you build the big standees in the loby Box Office (ticket sales): - Managment tends to look the other way if it's not busy and you're on your phone - No cleaning involved - Management tends to come hangout if it's not busy and sometimes the company is good Concesions: - Always something to do/ clean - time goes quickley - Always a coworker to hangout with - Customers are genrerally easy to deal with Door (Ticket Ripping) - The only thing you are responsible for is ripping tickets and stopping outside food - It's not hard to keep up with the job even when it's busy

Cons

- minimum wage - Management either cares too much or not at all - Scheduling only a week in advance - Never a free weekend - The place is staffed with teenagers, and sometimes they act like it. - At least at my Regal, the management would disapear for long periods of time upstaris when they should have been on the floor Cons by Job: Ushering: - stressful when really busy and understaffed - Sometimes people get away with being lazy when ushering because of lack of management Box Office: - You cannot leave the cubicle unless there is someone to cover for you - Stressful when busy - Pushing Regal Cards to everyone gets taxing when doing it for hours - People become angry when a movie is sold out and sometimes take it out on you Concessions: - Gets extremely busy on weekends and it is easily the most stressful job in the building - People complain about the prices all the time - Constant upsizing and candy pushing is annoying Door: - Boring - No one to talk to except for brief encounters with customers

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
