Great experience, but awful pay. No benefits. - Part Time Associate Manager Regal Employee Review

Pros

Great experience. Flexible scheduling, great co-workers.

Cons

Associate managers barely make above minimum wage. Responsibility is a lot heavier as a manager, but there are no raises, and might as well stay as a floor staff employee, except for the title and experience to find a better job. Floor staff sometimes get better hours since corporate is so stiff on giving out hours, and managers are always forced to cut hours for floor staff which makes it seem like the theatre doesn't care about employees.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
