Pros

Good, clear procedures to follow for safety and cleanliness in the workplace. Pretty flexible when it came time to go back to school and work only on weekends. The employee gets a free movie pass for them and and one other person as well as discounted concessions items.

Cons

The management has problems, at least at my local theater. The turnover rate for the General Manager was too high. The turnover rate for the employees was too high as well. Not enough incentive, hours, or pay to stay. There was not enough supervision and cross-checking of the lower-level managers and their performance in the workplace. They had obvious favorites, like their friends and people they just liked better than others, which they're not supposed to have. Also, there was never enough hours, and the scheduling was inconsistent. They would very often send you home early without getting to complete all of your shift unless otherwise very busy, which was unfortunately infrequent.

Pros

It was a fun job for a part-time role when it's one of your first jobs. Got to watch movies during breaks, coworkers were chill, free popcorn and tickets was also a bonus.

Cons

Dealing with trash, rude customers, and rush hours were rough but were all part of what you'd expect in customer service. Hours are a bit late for closing given that its a movie theater.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
