Best first job you could possibly have, but not too much more than that. - Floor Staff (Box Office Cashier, Concessions, and Usher) Regal Employee Review

Pros

Free movies, free popcorn, almost entirely high school and college students. Joking around with customers was the best part as it allowed you to be friendly and personal. Customers could occasionally be rude and annoying, but they were very rare.

Cons

The pay was subpar, but sufficient for high school students. Management later began enforcing scripts to read to customers. Corporate sacrificed a personal touch for a robotic "Welcome to Regal. Would you like to try any Milk Duds today. Do you have a Regal Card with you?" in an attempt to boost profits slightly. Very reluctant to give bonuses or promotions.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
