Pros

If you love movies, the environment allows for a unique perspective on the industry.

Cons

I worked for Regal for 16 years, and they wanted to be "the best place to watch a movie." Still, the corporate office, or "Theater Support Office," as they want you to call it, has spent years gutting everything that once made the company great, turning their motto into a literal joke. Every day, I saw them spending less and less on upkeep to ensure customer satisfaction dipped lower and lower. It's like the new corporate motto was to lead with greed, clearly showing a disregard for their customers through a lack of upkeep and quality offerings and their employees through refusing to give raises, ignoring fixes that could be hazardous, and taking away numerous benefits. The company is run by HPLT (High-Performance, Low-Trust) individuals, who may look good on paper or to their peers but are self-serving, not really caring about customers or employees as long as their stock portfolios tick up a few points. It was once a great company, but it has seen quite a decline in quality over the years.

Pros

It was a fun job for a part-time role when it's one of your first jobs. Got to watch movies during breaks, coworkers were chill, free popcorn and tickets was also a bonus.

Cons

Dealing with trash, rude customers, and rush hours were rough but were all part of what you'd expect in customer service. Hours are a bit late for closing given that its a movie theater.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
