Pros
After working here, if you can't think of at least twenty people to add to your linkedin profile, you've wasted your time. The chance to build relationships with people IN ALL INDUSTRIES who you get to see everyday and get to know, is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have in this job. Also there are some really sweet people in this company- which is no indication about the company itself, at times you wondered how they got there, but more on that in the cons. If you get a job at Regus, take advantage of your looks if you're a female. Everyone will love you and wanna hear about your day regardless of whether you're doing your work or not. This is not to say you can't be a hard-working woman at this company, which you should, but oddly enough it seems less likely you'll have to be, depending on your manager. I had an incredible manager. Just an incredible person. Regus didn't make them so.. it's unfair when people rate companies so highly just because they had a good person as their manager, but I wanted to point it out to leverage my negative opinion of the company. One last positive, you'll also gain some valuable "key word" experiences that really do make you smarter after a while. Ie, "worked in a corporate environment" "receptionist" "secretarial skills" "administrative duties" "problem solving." Etc.
Cons
The above key words may seem bread and butter by comparison when describing your job duties, but you'll have difficult describing what you do for a living to your friends. Your answer will be most likely, "a little of everything." There is no limit. As long as doesn't fit on the manager's todo list, there's a chance you'll be asked to do it. Be warned. But that doesn't mean you'll get manager's pay. Do you see where I'm going with this? If you notice a lot on your plate, you may feel overwhelmed and try to talk to a manager about how you're trying to do A B C D E F AND G all at the same time, and you'll likely be told that's what EVERYONE with your job title is doing. So the question is why does the pay rate still put you in the income bracket for section 8 housing? Why aren't their raises? They are cutting back on employees. If an employee resigns or is fired, they don't hire someone new to replace them. They simply give someone else double duties. Also, the center managers all do things differently, so different in fact that if you ever switch managers you will feel like you're being retrained every single time. That says something about upper management- that they don't seem to care about how their employees run the centers as long as they get numbers. This company left a bad taste in my mouth. I had a few nightmares. You know not like ptsd war veteran type stuff. But still totally I'd never work for this place again type stuff.
