Pros
I worked with several great teams of therapists, and several good managers. However the "good" managers weren't doing what the upper management wanted, and usually weren't long for the position.
Cons
The company under-reimburses you for mileage driven for work. Employees with years of experience and specialty training are not valued and are treated as replaceable (even when the company can't cover a vacation for a therapist). Speech is treated as an add-on when they have an SLP, when they don't, it's not necessary. Productivity is the driver above patient care (keep patients at highest levels at all times). Management refuses to discharge patients who are not receiving skilled services. Upper management promises building management things that are unethical. Continuing education reimbursement is below market, requires use of PTO, and doesn't include travel/hotel for conferences. PTO is below market as well (about 16 days total including holidays/Con Ed days for a 5-year, FTE employee).
