Pros

The company fosters a genuinely positive and supportive environment. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, the salary is very competitive, and leadership truly stands out—managers and directors of providers are understanding, accommodating, and invested in helping you grow while ensuring you feel valued and happy in your role. There is also generous and fair compensation when asked to cover, travel, or work outside your usual setting, such as weekends or alternate locations. On top of that, the team environment is collaborative, welcoming, and enjoyable to be part of.

Cons

There are a few areas where the company could continue to grow, particularly with benefits. PTO does not roll over year to year, there is currently no 401k match, sick leave, or maternity leave. Additionally, showing a bit more appreciation and support for the Chiropractic Assistants (CAs) and front desk team would go a long way, as they play a vital role in the overall success and daily operations of the clinic.

Pros

The actual work itself is not difficult, and mistakes are generally easy to fix once you understand the process.

Cons

Despite having a contract stating a 5 day workweek, I was required to work 6 days a week on a regular basis. Policies seemed to change constantly, usually resulting in additional work, yet there was no extra pay for the additional hours worked. PTO policies are extremely strict, and management makes every effort to prevent employees from using their earned time off. The workload is overwhelming essentially doing the job of three people with the expectation to fully master everything in less than three months. If you don’t, your job is at risk. The environment is highly stressful, with constant task-switching, you are often pulled away from one task before finishing it and immediately blamed for incomplete work. Training is inconsistent. You may be trained one way, only to be reprimanded the next day for not performing a task differently, sometimes in a demeaning or disrespectful manner. There is a serious lack of management support and empathy. Communication with management feels unsafe, being honest or asking questions can be perceived as a threat rather than a desire to improve. There is also an uncomfortable lack of boundaries, including management monitoring employees’ social media and using personal information against them. Overall, the culture is toxic and discouraging, especially for new employees. While the job itself could be manageable in a healthy environment, leadership and poor management practices make it unnecessarily difficult and emotionally draining.
