Unfortunately, they fall short of having a great culture because friends/relatives/wives/GF-BF, etc., get hired for leadership roles instead of people possessing actual leadership skills. They confuse being bubbly, hyper and toxically positive with true, motivational leadership. They have unrealistic metrics for smaller studios. In larger studios, or busier ones, you may not have time for a lunch break - still, you are required to clock out for lunch or you will get into trouble. They do not give enough time for appointments and all the (heavy) charting that laser specialists need to do. The Regional Managers are run ragged with w/joker-like smiles pasted on their faces. They encourage you to lie to clients. "Tell them it doesn't hurt. It is individual - everyone is different." (Trust me, it HURTS. 95% of clients will tell you it hurts much more than getting a tattoo.) They require very large down payments for payment plans, so hopefully your studio is in an area where most people have a lot of discretionary income and/or good credit, or it will be difficult to make your goals and get bonuses. Corporate leadership was not very diverse as of 2024.
