Pros
A place to work and get a check
Cons
I read all the reviews for Renown on this site and noticed how someone from the company is replying to them apologizing and encouraging people who still work there to use their open door policy to express any concerns. While I was still employed I was one of those people who were stupid enough to utilize that open door policy and make a complaint to our HR business partner about the way our manager was mistreating me. I was stupid enough to beleive that I actually work for a company that really cares about its people and would never tolerate someone in a management position treating so many employees the way ours did. Our manager was harsh, did not care how offensive she was when she spoke to us, she made us feel worthless, and she would constantly gossip about other employees, just a hateful person. Anyway, after I had enough of this poor treatment while working so hard everday, I utilized Renowns open door policy to go talk about the way myself as well as my co workers were being treated. I was confident that something was going change from this. The result was a meeting in HR with me, my boss, and her boss. I was told by the HR business partner "so Im guessing you dont want to do your job anymore" and "you have given us the impression that you just want to cause trouble for everyone in your department instead of just coming in and doing your job" It was just a time for my manager and HR to sit me down and rip me apart. By the end of the meeting I was told that I am lucky to still have a job, and went back to work demoralized beyond repair. Thank you St Marys for hiring me so I could leave that hell.
