Pros
- Insurance is decent, waiting for appointments only takes 1-2 months as an employee. - Coworkers were great people. They will work hard because they care about the patients even if they don't get the support they need.
Cons
- Hometown Health is part of Renown, however Renown employees don't get it covered 100% like other organizations outside of Renown do. - Management plays favorites, only people with friends higher up get promoted. They will always side with upper management, never standing up for their employees. - Lied to employees about Covid 19, and failed to supply PPE to appropriate staff. Cherry picked which staff could work from home for positions that could be done remotely. - Pay is not comparable to the work. People without licenses are lucky if they make more than minimum wage. Other staff will do the same work as someone making twice as much. The CEO makes over $1 Million a year though. - If you ask for accommodations they will continue to say they're working on it, but it never happens. Had back surgery and need a chair that offers enough support? It's too expensive, deal with it. - A lot of the nurses are not kind to other staff. They blame others for things beyond their control. They will also try to push people out of the hospital before they're ready to discharge because there aren't enough beds. - Mental illnesses are not taken seriously - for staff or patients. If you get placed on a legal hold, you'll likely be waiting a while for a place at one of the behavioral health facilities. The medical staff will likely not offer any emotional support while you're there. Social workers and case managers will though. However, they're case load is way too large and they won't be able to see you every day. If you're staff with a mental illness, try not to schedule appointments close to your work schedule because you will often get quilted into not going.
