Pros

-Full of bright individuals who care about the company's success -Very cool product that is working towards revolutionizing the CRE world -New CEO seems to bring valuable experience to the table that was previously lacking. -Unlimited PTO -Generous lunch/breakfast catering pre-covid -Generous WFH accommodations during covid -AE role is a nice pitstop in your career if you're looking to pickup on some high pressure sales tactics

Cons

-Sales team has too many reps and unrealistic quotas, resulting in a very small fraction of 20-25 reps hitting quota each month -Reps are not exactly setup for success and there doesn't seem to be a real correlation between working hard (making dials/activity) and bringing in revenue with the way the sales org/lead flow is structured -Although it varies slightly by manager, anyone taking this job should not expect much support beyond the initial "training", as managers are either inexperienced, overwhelmed, or simply do not understand the product/client base, in which case they are just there to cheerlead and count up revenue each month. Do not expect to have a real mentor of any kind here. -While there are some valuable skills to be learned towards the beginning of this role, any type of skill development plateaus after your first few months here. Also, I would certainly not expect any type of real career advancement here, even if you are a consistent/tenured top performer. -Team morale is constantly wavering between low and very low.

Reonomy Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I completely agree that our team and product is innovative and revolutionizing the CRE space. We are very excited about the direction we are headed and the incredible opportunity in front of us. That being said, I’m sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience here. We are consistently evaluating our organizational structure, including quotas and enablement, to ensure our Sales team is set up for success. Even during an economic downturn, the changes made increased the overall number of individuals hitting 75% or above quota, resulting in the majority of the team doing so. We are continuously investing in our lead flow strategy, and while we have historically operated on an inbound model, success within the role goes beyond order taking and directly correlates to utilization of skills to have value driven conversations with prospects. Based on feedback, we are providing more training on outbound strategies and have taken this into account with our overall structure as well. We take your feedback regarding professional development seriously, and want to ensure that even throughout periods of change, our team feels supported. New AEs are assigned a mentor during onboarding, and through this program we strive to create a “one dream, one team” mentality where everyone is willing to lend a helping hand. As managers, we utilize a combination of weekly 1:1s, team and departmental meetings in order to share information and provide feedback and coaching. We encourage our employees to have open and honest conversations with their managers or leadership about any issues they may be facing. We understand that change can be difficult and want to ensure that we can help the team navigate structural shifts however we can. Again, thanks for your review and I’d encourage you to reach out to myself, your manager, or a member of the People team if you have any further feedback. - Colin Callahan, Director of Sales
