Pros

It will look good on your resume that you survived it.

Cons

The sales environment is some sort of an illusion. They tell you sell, sell, sell, constantly, but managers generally don't really have any idea how to, or interest in helping you. You will find yourself in a sales role surrounded by people who do not support you in any way shape or form. The company culture is like going to the DMV or some other utility that people may have come to think their jobs will always be there. In short, they don't realize that you keep their lazy asses employed. It is a very challenging job and a worse environment. If you take this job, you will eventually find your selfish very motivated. Motivated to get the hell out of there, and probably get out of sales for good.

Pros

We used to have to come in every morning and stay in the office for at least an hour, then go out into the field, come back at least an hour before 5pm and stay in the office. They changed it so we only have to come in in the morning and it's so much nicer.

Cons

I really didn't get along with the sales manager. On my first day, the manager who hired me announced he was leaving. About two weeks into my employment, the new sales manager wanted to make crazy changes to show his authority. It went downhill from there. He made major cutbacks and the things he kept where supposed to be thought of as gifts, such as bottled water.
