Pros

There are some people stuck here plugging along who are truly great!

Cons

This company embodies every stereotype of a private equity acquisition. The product is a Frankenstein of acquired tools, as internal development is stifled by a culture where everyone is miserable and actively prevented from improving it. Despite engineers' best efforts, their hands are tied. Meanwhile, the company continues to lay off those who could make a difference, outsourcing roles to its new international offices. Leadership operates with open disdain for employees, fostering a toxic environment where speaking out—even to help the organization—is strongly discouraged. They are so convinced of their own infallibility that they ignore or eliminate anyone who challenges their decisions, which includes most of the people actually doing the work. As a result, institutional knowledge has been wiped out, leaving critical projects in shambles and entire teams gutted with no one left to pick up the pieces. Meanwhile, they have mastered the art of review manipulation. While negative feedback mysteriously disappears, new hires are heavily encouraged to leave glowing reviews shortly after joining—before they’ve had the chance to see the reality of the situation. Pros

Reveal is filled with talented, driven professionals, and I genuinely enjoy working alongside my colleagues each day. The company has undergone significant growth over the past few years and has made deliberate investments in maturing its operations, including its processes, products, and people. Amid broader uncertainty in the tech industry, Reveal has demonstrated stability and resilience. For those willing to put in the effort, it is a place where you can meaningfully expand your skill set and take on high-impact projects. The company fosters an environment that encourages learning, ownership, and career mobility. You are never limited to a narrow path.

Cons

The complexity of integrating multiple acquisitions has, at times, introduced distraction and a temporary loss of focus. However, the company’s recent emphasis on organizational maturity and operational stability has enabled a renewed focus on innovation and product development.

Pros

Some people I met were great mentors and helped me learn a lot.

Cons

Team members seemed stressed and slightly unhappy to be working there. They felt overwhelmed with the work and not heard by management.
