Pros

Revention's Pros are few and far in between. I went into this position with a very positive outlook, as the company portrays itself with this Silicon Valley-esque attitude, It prides itself as a "cool" and "hip" place to work with relaxed dress codes, an arcade room, free massages etc. Of the above I will agree that those were nice perks.... when I was given a chance to use them. However, the one saving grace would have to be my co-workers. I genuinely enjoyed everyone that I worked with. Everyone was friendly and easy to get a long with with the exception of upper management of course.

Cons

Revention at its core is a sales company, that translates to employees in the sales department being treated better than customer service, and it also translates to the companies priorities being concentrated in sales. Of course any company's goal is to bring in more revenue, but Revention was doing this at the expense of their customers. Revention's products consisted of selling antiquated hardware coupled with spaghetti code software which they refused to fix. The software was riddled with bugs that the entire customer service department was aware of. The process to even get upper management and development to acknowledge this and remedy it was atrocious. In the event that enough customers complained about an issue, would eventually and reluctantly be resolved with a version update, which in turn seldom fixed the issue, but would create even more. In addition to the complete disrespect of its customers, Revention work/life balance was ridiculous. All customer service representatives were expected to work 45 hours a week, Now I wouldn't be opposed to working more than 40 hours, in fact most of my previous jobs consisted with well over 45 hour work weeks, however the salary that we were offered was included in that 5 hours of overtime we would be expected to show up for every week. This translated to under $15/ hour, well below the industry standard. Coupled with the mandatory 45 hours, also came painstakingly scheduled shifts. I went from working 8AM-6PM, to 10AM-8PM, to 12PM-10PM, to 2PM-12AM and often times on weekends, all within about a 6 month period. Finally the $15/ hour I mentioned earlier was after a 6 month raise, even though I was eager to change schedules, follow upper management's ever changing policies, and took on more and more responsibilities as I grew in my position.

We hear your concerns and appreciate your feedback. We are always open to improvement and welcome any ideas that will help us grow as a company. That being said, we have worked very hard to ensure the highest quality of our products and services. We take pride in the success of our customers and our company as a whole, each department, and each individual employee. Pessimism and negativity do not receive merit at Revention.
