Pros

There are multiple chances to learn new things on the fly, because there is practically no support from above. The overwhelming majority of the staff are short term, because the people who can tolerate the environment enough to stick around without being fired because the Lord and Master took a personal dislike to you, or quitting because you discovered your self worth again, get "promoted" to different departments, and as has been said several times, you can't talk to other departments. It doesn't happen, and you get yelled at and personally insulted if you try (great professional conduct). So you have to learn how to do things on your own, or you irritate the customer, get yelled at by the boss, and never get coached on the proper solution. Very difficult to maintain pride in your work. Pay is decent, not great, and based on 45/50 hours based on department. There are no bonuses, ever. Raises happen almost as much as bonuses. The software itself is robust and works, when it's sold and configured correctly, which happens less than it should. Salesmen gotta make that commission!

Cons

Biggest con - working for the company. Every positive post here is either blatantly false, or a new hire who hasn't yet been thrown to the wolves, or is trying to stick up. After this review is posted, there will be multiple "good"reviews to make up the rating again. Customers are handled the same way - SEO is a big deal there. The claims of 99% retention are completely false, and this can be easily verified. Along with the constant SEO, the company would frequently send out "requests" to fill out "anonymous" reviews..and push and push and push for then to be completed, and would call out specific employees for not complying (very anonymous, yes). Those few brave enough to fill them out honestly were quickly terminated, and then the review company told to not count the review as the offender was no longer employed. Every time I saw someone put in 2 weeks, they were not only terminated, but also escorted from the business. The owner cares nothing for his employees, and his manager even less - he'll tell you that a monkey could do your job, when he himself can't, and when you ask him how to do something, he'd mumble an excuse and lock his door. All the advertised benefits - arcade, massages, free food - benefits sales team (but only the ones leading the pack), customers, and the public image. Those who work nights and weekends get no relief from the tedium of a 9/10 hour call center shift.

Thanks for your comments – Yes it is very hard to work in the Customer Service Department. Revention’s standards are very high and it is unfortunate that you could not meet those standards. Revention does encourage employees to rate their experiences at the company and most employees really love their jobs. Making up lies on Glassdoor does nothing to Revention – It only makes you look very hurt and we’re sorry for your hurt. The employees who get fired really get upset when they see the many successes that Revention is having. You can look below at every termination – They are reviews that are 1 or 2 stars. You should maybe start a support group that would help all of you cope with your hurt, stop falsifying information, and give yourselves the power to focus your energy on self-growth. We wish you the best of luck.
