Pros

Been in the company a long time 10+ years. You will work with great people. The mentorship for new hires is amazing. The team I was on was the feeling of a family. I would describe our team as siblings and we all took care of each other. I say my manager was a big sister instead of mother because she was out there with us in the trenches leading us with the rest of the team. It’s motivating to see your manager come out and genuinely care about your wellbeing and go above and beyond their role to do what it takes to keep you from ever getting discouraged. Most days, my feelings of this company are such a positive experience with your teammates working toward that common goal. I was so appreciative in having a manager that genuinely shows appreciation for their team. I have learned a great deal from this company as they invest so much in our development over the years. I feel the company training workshops they send us to are very useful and you feel the cost of investment made toward your development.

Cons

After 10+ years of loyal service and ratings of above and beyond, I was still at a salary of 68k. The company did make an attempt to adjust tenured TM pay and I did get a high performing TM bonus of 5% on top of 3.3% annual increase which raised my salary to 73k. However, a direct vapor competitor JUUL offered me a salary in the 90s to start. I was surprised to say the least about how a start up company can pay more than a company that made billions in the previous year. Always being transparent, I had this discussion with my peers and manager. I came to the realization that the company would not make any attempt to match or make our salary competitive for me to stay. After losing a lot of sleep making a decision, I decided to accept the offer. It was very painful to leave my peers and manager that I have invited into my home and regard as my work family. I was so passionate about this company and resigned on great terms, but I would’ve been a fool not to accept the high salary offer with JUUL that would’ve taken me years to achieve with Reynolds American.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. It is our corporate practice to continually evaluate our compensation plans, and it is our belief that fair compensation transcends salary. Included with our salary is an annual bonus, up to a 6% 401K match with an additional 3% enhancement when you contribute 6% or more, financial counseling through Ayco, tuition reimbursement, health, dental, and vision insurance. Territory managers also receive personal use of the company vehicle and a monthly cell phone and home internet allowance.

Pros

Company car and free gas

Cons

1. The managerial style of the district manager in Seattle is extremely petty, his reviews make no sense whatsoever, and there is a rampant culture of favoritism going on in his district. 2. The insistence on doing “work withs” for a person with high functioning Autism was absolute torture. Even though reasonable accommodations were requested by me, none were given. 3. The district manager also referred to me as in proper nouns that were derogatory and EXTREMELY offensive to someone with Autism numerous times. 4. The payout of bonuses were also extremely infrequent, even though I qualified for them. 5. Finally during the interview process, one of the biggest selling points that was made to me was a promise of a work life balance with “exemplary pay.” Neither of which came to fruition.
