Pros

The pros of the job are also the things that have people trapped here and miserable. - company car - decent salary - flexible work schedule and time off - phone, internet stipend etc. They are not worth it!! Look for a job that truly values it’s employees because REYNOLDS ISN'T IT!! Every since BAT bought Reynolds American, the TM position and the company has been horrible.

Cons

The company used to be an amazing company to work for. BAT purchased us and only cares about how much money the Territory Managers can make them. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL OR MENTAL HEALTH OF THEIR EMPLOYEES. My goal is to let you know not to get blinded by the car, the salary/bonus etc. because it’s not worth it when you work REALLY hard and it’s not rewarded or appreciated. We work THE HARDEST out of all of the tobacco companies but our pay does not reflect that. We have been forced to stay in stores for HOURS resetting the Vapor and Cigarette sections since coming back into the field in June of this year. Many of the workers and customers in the gas stations do not wear masks and it’s frightening to work in small spaces with them for 2 hours trying to remerchandise the fixtures and then go home to our families. The people making the decisions sit at home, in a safe environment, thinking of more work for Territory Managers to do. This year is the heaviest work load that many of my peers have seen and NOT ONCE has anyone asked how we are doing. It’s disgusting and disappointing. So many territory managers have picked up REALLY bad habits because of the stress of working through a pandemic, trying to keep themselves and their families healthy by not catching the virus, trying to balance the workload, and hoping that we all get to the other side of this. SERIOUSLY, APPLY FOR JOBS ELSEWHERE! The bad REALLY outweighs the good now that BAT owns us. You won’t be happy or excited to go to work because NONE of us are!

Pros

Company car and free gas

Cons

1. The managerial style of the district manager in Seattle is extremely petty, his reviews make no sense whatsoever, and there is a rampant culture of favoritism going on in his district. 2. The insistence on doing “work withs” for a person with high functioning Autism was absolute torture. Even though reasonable accommodations were requested by me, none were given. 3. The district manager also referred to me as in proper nouns that were derogatory and EXTREMELY offensive to someone with Autism numerous times. 4. The payout of bonuses were also extremely infrequent, even though I qualified for them. 5. Finally during the interview process, one of the biggest selling points that was made to me was a promise of a work life balance with “exemplary pay.” Neither of which came to fruition.
