Pros

It's an environment full of experts. If you reach out people are willing to help and provide their knowledge and expertise. Thanks to the vast community it is easy to find people who can support you in specific tasks.

Cons

The quality of the work highly depend on the project. It can happen the project is not very much thought of before hand, or in general not very well integrated inside existent activities or projects. This leads the student to be left alone and not very well supervised.

Pros

Work-life balance is great and getting an internship extended is very common.

Cons

Not on the cutting edge of tech at all and they seem to move slowly much like the rest of the auto industry.

Pros

Google work environment. Good people.

Cons

Our department suffered the cuts of automotive downturns and outsourcing work after department mergers. I would have stayed until retirement for another 10 or 15 years.
