Not a divergent company - Recruiting Manager Robert Half Employee Review

Pros

The presentation of what the job could be was very enticing. They spoke about training, corporate help, high commissions, etc.

Cons

My branch manager was not accepting of a divergent thinker and an autonomous employee. I went ahead, took initiative to understand and read passed what she recommended each day for our training plan and was shamed upon. I thoroughly read through our company intranet and set up my own benefits, electronics, etc. Then, I was asked why and advised to not do it. The only reasoning my branch manager could come up with was that, she just, "did not want it in the office". She was a mirco-manager. She would print out my entire phone calls the first week. When it did not give her the answer she wanted (being not as efficient and productive as she is), she simply went through other means to degrade my character, speaking down on my initiatives to thrive and divergent methods to get the work done and completed. When I spoke to her boss, she had no comment either. I filed a complaint and am still not sure where that went.

Pros

Great in finding contracts for contract workers. They got me a remote job that allowed me to work from my home in the Midwest for a job in California.

Cons

Can be hard to reach at times.

Pros

Hybrid, Good benefits/PTO, offered “competitions” for gift cards, cares about employees

Cons

As a recruiting manager, I felt that the pay structure was interesting with the base pay being a “draw” - meaning that you base salary is essentially commission paid to you in advance. So if you have some slow months, it rolls over and works yourself into a hole. I think it would be a better structure if it reset every month.
