In-office policy is inconsistently enforced & damages morale - Recruiter Robert Half Employee Review

Pros

Opportunity to gain full-desk recruiting experience if you're self-driven Some tools and tech access are solid (LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.) You can succeed here if you're very independent and learn quickly

Cons

There’s a major discrepancy in how in-office requirements are enforced across practice groups at Robert Half. While some teams come in once or twice per week — or less — some groups (locations) are held to a much stricter standard, including extra required days during the first week of each month. The frustrating part isn’t just the in-office time itself, but the fact that there’s no clear explanation for why one group is treated differently, especially when all the work is done on laptops and calls. If collaboration were truly the reason, you’d expect consistency across all teams. But that’s not what’s happening — and it’s demoralizing to see such an uneven playing field when you’re producing and still being micromanaged. If you value flexibility or equal treatment, just go in with eyes open. The rules don’t apply the same to everyone here.

Pros

Success with other departments - just not in mine

Cons

Complete bait and switch. I accepted this position under one manager, only to find out after resigning from my previous job that I would be reporting to someone else entirely. There was no meaningful onboarding, no training materials, and no support system in place. My manager openly stated that there was no monetary value in helping me succeed and made little effort to train or develop me. Requests to shadow and learn the business were dismissed in favor of keeping me on the phones. Instead of being set up for success, I felt actively prevented from growing. HR was equally disappointing. I raised legitimate concerns and never received a response. The organization talks about development and support, but my experience suggested otherwise. Joining this company was one of the biggest professional mistakes I have made.
