Pros

The benefits are great, including a 401k match, competitive PTO, and sick time. The company also offers a healthy work-life balance and remote work opportunities. When hiring is active, there are excellent programs for networking, shadowing, and career growth. In my experience, direct line managers have been wonderful, empathetic, and understanding of their teams. Lastly, the mission is incredibly rewarding; you can see how your specific role assists in the frontline care of patients. No other firm or job has given me the same sense of duty as my work at Roche. They truly care about the future of diagnostics and healthcare for all.

Cons

There is a general sense of corporate politics and a significant disconnect between executive leadership, middle management, and frontline teams. The CRM systems are a daily struggle, and certain teams tend to micromanage others. While feedback can be submitted to management, it rarely feels as though leadership takes it to heart. Layoffs are sudden and abrupt, with little to no acknowledgment of how these changes affect the remaining staff. Employees are then asked to do more with less, while still being expected to maintain the same level of performance and satisfaction.
