Pros

The other engineers I worked with were all pretty great people, unfortunately there seemed to be more people leaving then join while I was at rokt, and a lot of them were getting into pretty good companies e.g google so it goes to show that the engineers at rokt were pretty good.

Cons

Lots of people leaving / not staying on for a long period of time. There also felt like a disconnect between the engineering office in sydney and the main business side of things in NY.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed working with our brilliant team of engineers. We are a fast paced and growing global organisation, and for this reason, we believe it is normal and healthy to have some turnover. We are a place where people accelerate their careers and learn a lot through working with the best and smartest brands and people in the world - but we do have very high expectations for our Rokt’stars - that means we are not the right place for everyone. We appreciate the feedback around the disconnect between the engineering office in Sydney and our commercial office in NY. We are actively working to improve this by building out a Research and Development team in NY to ensure there is greater synergy between our commercial, product and engineering teams in order to provide smarter, faster and better solutions to our customers.

Pros

Rokt is the kind of place where you can grow fast if you're willing to put in the work. I've built my way up to senior leadership over my time here, that kind of trajectory doesn't happen without real investment from the company in its people. The work is genuinely complex and interesting: you're sitting at the intersection of technology, commercial strategy, and some of the biggest brands in the world. The caliber of teammates has been consistently high, and the culture pushes you to think bigger and challenge yourself. There's also a real emphasis on building leaders from within, which I've benefited from directly and tried to pay forward with my own team.

Cons

Fast growth means things move quickly and priorities can shift. If you need a lot of structure or predictability, it can feel like a lot. Ambiguity is part of the job, and not everyone thrives in that environment.
