Pros

Large majority of front line employees are really good people and care about doing a good job! The employee discount along with some of the quartlly employee discounts provided for employees.

Cons

Most of the store level managers that I was associated with, treat there employees terrible. If your 18 or 80 you are treated like a child and punished (Hours cut, schedules changed at the last minute, Zero HR Contact). Company policies and procedures are broken at the store level by managers and supervisors on a daily basis to protect there image with coorprate. Examples: Incidents covered up, such as managers showing up late and sometimes under the influence, managers taking extended lunches for sometimes hours, both on and off property, sensoring of company documents to cover up issues within the store. Continued threats of job loss and hours being cut for those who do not keep quiet. These are just some reasons for the very high turnover rate at most locations.

Pros

All of my coworkers were wonderful. No high school drama. Boss was flexible and understanding, although he always liked it if you said you could work more hours. The employee discount is pretty awesome. The work wasn't bad and rude customers were rare.

Cons

There was pressure to come in even when you were sick. Pay wasn't the greatest; it usually stayed ahead of minimum wage, but by no means kept up with inflation. Visits from corporate often meant a new change in procedures that had been working and demands that were somewhat unreasonable given the constraints of the layout or number of employees available.
