Pros
Friendly people and various events for coops.
Cons
I was put on a project huge in scope and then asked to prepare a GUI assembly line reporting program for management. I was asked several times by the company that owns the software to just let them do it as it was their job. Being a college kid and havin nobody to ask for help I was set up to fail. I was asked to work in vb to get a macro working. I worked hard on the requirements than 2 weeks later told that’s not what they wanted. We were quizzed on our knowledge of gas and oil and other verticals which no coop would know. Until they asked one programming question about refactoring which I knew because it was the only thing in my wheelhouse. I blame my manager who was very bad at his job who they’ve now promoted to director. When capstone project came around for my school I did the backend through a partnership with rovisys but turned down an offer of fte from the recruiter. My coop I didn’t work in .net till my capstone project. Not to mention I went through the hardest point in my life while working there and never got an iota of anything but contempt from management.
