Pros

- Coworkers are smart, friendly people who really care about their work. - While I'm sure the culture varies team by team, I love the culture that my team has established. There is an active focus on building the right solutions, understanding the business problems, transparency, autonomy, and flexible work. - The People team invests in building a company-wide inclusive culture where individuals / teams / cultures are all celebrated. - Remote-friendly culture that sets aside opportunities to get to know each other through virtual events as well as occasional in-person events (some with folks from your region, some with travel) - You can jump in and make an impact quickly. I've seen engineers win company-wide recognition awards within their first six months of joining the company. - There truly is a focus on being provider-centric (it's not just talk), which is embodied from the leadership team and throughout the org. People here seem to truly try to do what is right.

Cons

- If the main motivator of yours is to make the world a better place, there are other parts of the healthcare industry you might want to work in. This does focus on helping providers get the information they need from life sciences companies, when and how they need it- which *IS* incredibly important....and there are opportunities to give back through matching donations/etc... but there is less of a 'feel good' impact to your work than software solutions where you are directly impacting patient care, for example . - There were layoffs a few months ago and leadership changes to make sure the company was aligned in the right direction- this is the first time that the company has been through something like that and it was really rough on morale. That said - I do have confidence in the current leadership team and the org seems to be recovering from the layoffs/reorgs. - For such a small org, it feels like there is already a good start to having a diverse staff, including folks from different age groups, genders, cultures, backgrounds, etc. - but it would be really nice to see more women in leadership (or even just women engineers) within the tech org specifically and I hope the org continues to invest in recruiting folks from underrepresented groups.
