Pros

The work-life balance is amazing. If you need to work from home, you can do it, time off is also extremely generous.

Cons

The biggest downside I saw was the training on job specific duties. The training department was more geared for general business education, not job specific. The job specific training is done by people who know how to do the job, but don't know to train. I learn more by knowing why something is done. I would ask why during training and the answer always was, "that's how it's done." It didn't help in my learning process. The department I was in was also dominated by clique which included the management. If you were not part of it, it seemed harder to advance.

Pros

Culture is great amongst principle and executive team members. The work is not difficult if you have prior experience in property tax. Benefits are good. Great promotion track if you are willing to play the politics.

Cons

Political environment. Senior Consultants do not mind throwing newer people under the bus for their mistakes. Boundaries are not respected. You are expected to know everything with no real formal training, they do provide some training for the first few weeks but then it drops off and everything needs to be self taught. Management has favorites and you will know instantly.
