Pros

Tremendous resources and talented teams in place for almost every aspect of any business need you might have or could even contemplate. No shortcuts are taken on technology, staffing, capital allocation, research, strategy, planning or talent acquisition et al. Incentive plans are extremely well contemplated, designed and implemented. The combination of elements above provides for a very stable and logical equation which is: hard work = rewarded success for the individual, the organization, and most importantly the clients we serve.

Cons

It’s a relatively large company. It’s also a rapidly growing organization. As noted in the Pros section, there are a lot of systems, plans and teams in place. While they are well designed, it takes some time to read, learn and understand all that comprises the Ryan ecosystem.

The pay, WLB, and benefits are fantastic for a fresh grad.

The training structure is a little haphazard but this is not universal.

Pros

Culture is great amongst principle and executive team members. The work is not difficult if you have prior experience in property tax. Benefits are good. Great promotion track if you are willing to play the politics.

Cons

Political environment. Senior Consultants do not mind throwing newer people under the bus for their mistakes. Boundaries are not respected. You are expected to know everything with no real formal training, they do provide some training for the first few weeks but then it drops off and everything needs to be self taught. Management has favorites and you will know instantly.
