Pros
Great pay (over 6 figures) when the economy and sales are good monthly contest for sales trips (Exotic vacations, iPads, Cash Bonuses) Good people and sales people to be around generally Company is financially stable Usually a market leader on pricing vs. the competition Not rocket science to do the job.
Cons
Working 3 out of 4 weekends per month (With Zero flexibility on this) Full Commission, no base, you bare all the risk Much of pay is dependent on which community you are assigned, if you are in a hot selling community you can make 6 figures, if you are put in a dying community or poor location you can starve for months on end (Rules of real estate, Location, Location, Location), however the rep has no say in where they go or how long they stay there Lack of advancement opportunities, many persons were demoted during housing bubble burst and are well qualified to move up and are waiting patiently OVER emphasis on customer surveys, a 99.4% good job by a customer can warrant an action plan here Will answer your phone and email on your day off, your day off doesn't mean much Very old fashioned in sales & marketing methods
