Going public destroyed the workplace. Many support roles were subjected to layoffs this year, and there was seemingly no rhyme or reason to the teams or positions that were cut. We were forced to train our offshore replacements in impossible timeframes before being terminated.
It was incredibly disappointing that the company did not take any accountability for the layoffs. No company wide emails saying goodbye - or we're sorry, times are tough - nothing. No acknowledgement whatsoever. The layoffs were incredibly cold, and could have been handled with so much more tact, especially considering how many long-term employees they let go. I felt swept under the rug on my way out the door, after years of dedicated service to the company.
