Since a recent IPO, the company has been going downhill. The company has been going through multiple rounds of mass layoffs across Operations, Finance, Accounting, IT, and other support groups.
Many of my coworkers were laid off for cheaper labor overseas and/or temps/contractors, and they were asked to train their replacements on short notice with little to no oversight.
The overseas staff are hard working, but they don't work within our timezone, and there are endless communication challenges.
We are also required to come back to the office, or face termination (aka quiet layoffs).
One of our core values is integrity, but to layoff many hard working and tenured coworkers for overseas workers while making record profits and going through constant mergers and acquisitions seems dishonest.
