Pros

The only pro I can say is maybe it’s different in other business units.

Cons

BE PREPARED TO BE underpaid by about 20-30% of the market rate then be told “you’re lucky you have a job”. Management from the top down encouraged no work life balance, toxic shop environments, hr refuses to hold employees accountable for committing crimes due to union protection, and they will hang you out to dry if you think differently than your FOM.

Pros

You get to work on real supply chain problems that actually matter to operations, not just theoretical stuff. Remote flexibility is solid and the work-life balance is fair. The tech stack is modern (Snowflake, Azure, Power BI) and if you're someone who takes initiative, you'll get the chance to own things end-to-end. The people you work with day-to-day are genuinely good and most teams have a collaborative culture.

Cons

Growth from senior level and beyond can be painfully slow even when you're clearly doing the work above your role. Leadership and org changes happen often which resets your visibility and momentum with whoever is advocating for you. Some areas still lack clear ownership so things fall through the cracks or land on whoever is willing to pick them up. Pay doesn't always reflect the scope of what you're actually doing.
