Pros

This was a great place to work when it was So-Deep.

Cons

When SAM took over, nobody was happy. Many people eventually left the company because of this. Low pay and will not think twice about laying you off. It's all about the bottom line, nothing else.

SAM Companies Response

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your experience with SAM. SAM acquired So-Deep in 2016, to combine the strengths of two great companies and enhance the value we deliver to clients, and we have achieved that goal. Subsequent to the acquisition, SAM has significantly upgraded the technology utilized in the acquired offices, specifically deploying new field vehicles, IT and office equipment. While acquisitions, change and business transitions can be trying, our company continues to grow stronger because of them. For all employees that move on from SAM, we wish them the best and hope they find the career opportunity that best suits them.

Pros

Variety of projects and latest technology and software.

Cons

Equity investor ownership means all that matters is profits. Negotiate the highest salary possible. Be wary of offer that includes a bonus as investors and senior leaders get their bonuses before anyone else. Offices in other states and regions frequently go into neighboring states and regions to get their sales. Runs more like a bunch of individual companies than one cohesive unit.
