Pros

- Good work-life balance - Generally lenient management (this is also a big con) - Perceived job stability and security - Reasonable benefits - Laid back work environment - Less stressful on the work front - Best for those seeking a predictable work life with less pressure and more family time.

Cons

- Legacy technologies dominate, with very few opportunities to work on modern or cutting-edge tools - Limited career growth and learning opportunities - The team culture can feel uninspiring or stagnated, which undermines motivation for those who crave innovation and freshness - While not hostile, the environment can dampen ambition and curiosity for younger, tech-focused developers - Not for - Early to mid-career professionals who want career growth, frequent learning, and exposure to new technologies - Individuals who thrive on fast-paced, innovative, and highly technical environments

Pros

Great co-workers and healthy environment. Benefits are amazing. Demands are reasonable.

Cons

I think this is true for many places right now but post-COVID campus has become mostly remote work. You have to organize with your team when you want to have face-to-face interactions.

Pros

Benefits: health coverage, on-site gym, childcare, healthcare center, and more. Work-life balance: predictable hours, flexibility for parents and a culture that doesn't expect you to grind 60-hour weeks.

Cons

Compensation lags the market, slow career advancement and promotions can take years. Change-resistant culture and new ideas move slowly. Leadership team manages up to just one person.
