Pros

$15 an hour! That’s pretty much the only pro and the only thing that kept me as long as I stayed.

Cons

Not sure where to even begin. The racial discrimination is blatant and honestly frightening. After being hired because the other candidate didn’t show, I began working at the alliance location. I went weeks without a badge and the administrative clerk seemed to be the only one concerned with me being prepared for work. I had no idea about the group chat until months in, in which I had to remind them several times to add me. Never got a box with my name, never got taught how to properly clock in and out, and at first I thought nothing of it until someone was hired after me and had their badge the first day! I was organized and gave them details of my schedule and availability, yet was continually scheduled on conflicting days in my schedule. Staff ignored when a pt made a comment about touching my hair which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I had to step away and brush away my tears and discomfort. Another inconsiderate comment made by staff to another employee was that “you’ll get the job because you have greats hair.” The ignorance and the fact that they are unaware of their behavior, especially in the business office, is extremely upsetting and disappointing. I couldn’t stand to work for a company that JUST NOW is observing MLK day, yet some employees still chose to work on that day. To add to the disrespect, the staff makes jokes about one of the only black physicians there by betting on how “late” he’ll arrive and buying coffee for the winner... it’s ridiculous and this company doesn’t align at all with my career goals. They lack significantly in diversity and inclusion, and this little box isn’t nearly enough space for me to discuss the other disgraceful things I’ve witnessed here.
