Very happy! - Project Lead SMS Data Products Group Employee Review

I joined SMS three years ago after working for a large defense contractor for 14 years. My team and I moved to SMS as a result of a contract takeover. Initially, I wasn' t happy, but withing six months, I realized that this is really a good company and good fit for me. Managment lets me manage my team, and listens to the recommendations I make regarding our customer. I've been able to sucessfully expand my team from four to 10 members in three years, and bring more work (and money) to the contract. The work-life balance is great - my team is able to telecommute, and this allows team members to schedule personal appointments without hjaving to use PTO. I'm happy with the benefits package offered, and while additional PTO would be appreciated, the amout intitally offered is in line with industry standards. I have no complaints about salary . My direct management is great, giving me the autonomy I need to lead my team. The HR team is the best I've ever worked with. They are available and responsive, even for those team members in remote offices. To reiterate, I'm very happy with my employment experience with SMS.
