Pros

-Minimal experience required, alot of employees come in having zero experience in the field, so if you have experience from your personal time that you can't throw on a resume, its a great place to build a resume -Once you are hired on the benefits are fairly good, if you go the route of the HSA health insurance plan its better than other companies offer significantly, however the PPO lacks a max out of pocket and costs more per paycheck, vision and dental are the same no matter what route you go and is packaged with the health insurance. -Once you learn what you are doing it is not a hard job at all, quota is very easy to hit, there are techs who exceed quota within the first half of the day

Cons

-no shift differential pay, despite one shift always doing significantly more work -Mandatory OT, while alot of OT is optional, some is mandatory(staying late second shift, or coming early on first shift), Saturday can be mandatory to, but you can usually get out of it if you have a good reason - Defective motherboards, all other parts are most likely to be good.. but the motherboards are an entirely different story, you will get frustrated some days at the bad motherboards(both physical, and functional defects(broken ports, water damage, etc..)) - No pay raise for exceeding quota, might get a marginally larger(dime, maybe 15 cents) per hour raise when they do raises(raises as low as 1-2 cents per hour I have heard of here, different departments got that low though) if you perform well, need to actually put the performance to pay system out that they have been talking about for a very long time - For being a tech company, alot of things are dated/broken, label machine has to continuously be adjusted(if your lucky you can print 5-10 labels without having to adjust it), workstations laptops are slow, can freeze if imaging a unit due to lack of memory(1GB w/ windows 7, maybe 2 if your lucky), not keeping up with changes in scanner technology, newer models technicians have to hand type some parts component serial number because nobody has the proper scanner
