If you can get past the CA clan they have your golden, but first you must succumb to the ways of the afghans or else your not culturally sensitive to them.
Cons
Well if you are a translator for sosi and your not "afghan" by culture your considered an outcast. Sosi staff lets them walk all over everyone. They had it out for me the day I got in. For a year I was treated like garbage from all the other CA's. I find it amusing that these "afghans" that are Americans that are hired to translate think they are above everyone and everything. They clan together and have 1 leader that leads them into "battle" when things get tough, and when I mean tough I mean like carry their own gear, mail, help with work equipment or transfer of their own PERSONAL things. You can ask them to help move things but instantly its a" its not in my PWSS to help move things or do manual labor". Staff lets them pretty much do anything they want. Let an American say they aren't gonna help unload connexs they would be counseled and fired after 3 times. Crazy how they get paid more than anyone on contract yet do the littlest amount of work. 15 smoke breaks a day, cant hardly translate anything but must ask the LEADER in order for them to do anything. They use google translate for half of their work but yet continue to work here somehow and manage to literally do absolutely nothing thank god for waivers for this company right?! How are you hired to translate things but yet say your afghan but then celebrate afghan holiday, which mind you is like every week, and celebrate American holidays. I'm confused at how this works, are you afghan or American? How am I supposed to be culturally sensitive when you claim all nationalities and then file complaints against everyone because you are lazier than your own culture. This company lets the trash run them and don't care if you know how to do your work or how hard you work. only bad comes to the workers that actually know what they are doing and know how to work but only good comes of the lazy and of the people that do absolutely nothing. congratulations for empowering the weak-minded and useless! I guess it takes weak-minded people to manage the weak-minded.
