Pros
Active employee groups. Increasing diversity in management and workforce. Big in our industry. Broad, experienced, knowledgeable rep network. Automated product sales applications let reps sell new product without factory involvement. Management is young and vibrant.
Cons
I came to SPXFLOW via a company purchased by SPXFLOW. The bigger company is less in touch with customers and has forced us to do things the SPXFLOW way. IT tools, processes, and product technology are worse than what we had before. Our customer satisfaction keeps going down. Management applies 80/20 to everything which means the smaller units get minimal attention from top management and the wear and tear from that neglect is showing. 80/20 is great but it does not work if you apply it to everything. Management is inexperienced and sophomoric. Reps promise lead times to customers that the factory won’t support. Company culture is heavy on employees who have never been required to do anything other than their exact job. I see many process disconnects and few people who seem to care. Not sure if they know any better.
